Community Food Outlets
Presently around 60 Community Food Outlets operate in Aberdeen’s regeneration areas (Woodside, Middlefield, Tillydrone, Northfield, Seaton, Torry and Cummings Park) and also in the Mastrick area. Outlets also operate in various organisations for example Grampian Society for the Blind, Richmondhill House and in around 20 sheltered housing complexes. These outlets provide fresh fruit, vegetables, healthy snacks and dried goods at as affordable as possible prices to the local community.
In addition to the CFO’s in Aberdeen, CFINE also operates a number of outlets in Aberdeenshire and Moray.
Hospitals
Fresh fruit and vegetables are on sale between 12pm & 4pm every Wed, Thurs and Fri at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Our point of sale is inside the Rotunda entrance of the hospital. Fruit baskets can also be ordered and tailor made to suit the individual.
We also operate at Dr Gray’s hospital in Elgin every Thursday between 12pm and 3.30pm. This is presently based at the main entrance of the hospital.
The community food outlets are mainly run by volunteers and at some, our drivers will stop and sell.
