At the start of the coronavirus outbreak, we have had to make adjustments to how we support our community during these unprecedented times. We are committed to helping people who are facing hardship; however, as a responsible organisation, we have the duty to safeguard our beneficiaries, volunteers and staff from the spread of COVID-19. In March, we transformed CFINE's food bank into a home delivery service and we have been distributing over 1,500 emergency food parcels weekly ever since with the help of our partners and our team of volunteers and staff.

How can you access help?

Emergency Food Delivery

If you are running low on food and struggling to access it, please contact us on 01224 596156 or at [email protected] and we will do our best to organise an emergency parcel drop-off as soon as we can.

You can request an emergency food parcel Monday to Friday between 8 am-4 pm.

What's in an emergency parcel?

  • Ambient goods and non-chilled items, such as pasta, pasta sauces, tins, rice (content may vary depending on stock availability)
  • Sanitary products (on request)
  • Toiletries (on request)

Support workers, voluntary groups and other charities are also welcome to get in touch with us to request food for their beneficiaries.

SAFE Team Support Service

The SAFE Team continues to provide support and advice for people going through financial difficulty or needing help to navigate the welfare system. The health and safety of our beneficiaries, volunteers and staff are paramount, therefore, the SAFE Team will help you over the phone or via email.

Please contact the SAFE Team on 01224 531386 or 0800 953 4330 (free telephone number) Monday to Friday between 9 am - 4 pm.

You can also make an enquiry through the website https://www.cfine.org/safe or at [email protected].

Aberdeen City Council Emergency Helpline

Aberdeen City Council has launched a free emergency telephone helpline to prioritise support to the most vulnerable and at-risk individuals and families during the coronavirus outbreak. The free telephone number 0800 0304 713 will be staffed from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday from Tuesday, 24 March until further notice. The emergency number is for those hit hardest by the coronavirus outbreak and unable to obtain help from their existing support network in these unprecedented times. Members of the helpline team are ready to provide welfare and financial advice and support, including what to do if you are struggling to get food or pay bills.

Similar advice and information are also available on issues such as housing, health, food, heating, finance and schools on the Coronavirus COVID-19 page of the Council’s website, which is being regularly updated.
