News and events News TechnipFMC Employees Hold Food Drive to Support CFINE This week CFINE were delighted to accept a large quantity of food donations from TechnipFMC employees. The collections were held across multiple sites in Westhill and Dyce - the teams really pulled out all the stops to make it a success! In addition, they even organised a bulk shopping expedition to supplement the food collected. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Board at TechnipFMC, commented “We are delighted to support CFINE again this year for such a worthy cause, especially at this difficult time of the year during the long Summer holidays”. CFINE, and other emergency food providers around the city, have seen unprecedented levels of need recently. Last month over 1,500 food parcels were handed out from CFINE’s food bank alone. We know that food banks are not a good thing; they create dependence, erode dignity, and change nothing, however when people are faced with hunger, they are essential. With this in mind, CFINE operates a more holistic approach to tackling food poverty, including providing financial capability services, employability, help with energy bills and other contributory factors to people finding themselves in poverty. CFINE relies on the generosity of the public and corporate sector for donations, as well as operating FareShare Grampian, which redistributes surplus food that would otherwise go to waste. The donation from TechnipFMC will go a long way in tackling hunger, and the whole CFINE team would like to thank everyone who donated over the course of the food drive.
