What is Appetite for Change?

We are inviting you to participate in Appetite for Change, CFINE's annual fundraising challenge. Together, we will highlight the inequality in access to food that financially insecure families experience and bring to light their everyday struggles. Appetite for Change has proven to be very successful in the past, raising over £10,000 vital funds for vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals, families and communities.

Appetite for Change challenge

You will live on £2 a day for five days, meaning that your food and drink consumption for a week cannot exceed £10. Yes, that includes coffee, tea, water and all your meals. £2 may sound a bit extreme but for many food-insecure people, it is a generous daily budget. We found that many parents are missing out on meals to feed their kids and families have to choose between "heat or eat"

When will the challenge take place

Appetite for Change will take place on Challenge Poverty Week, between 5th-9th October 2020. Leading up to the event and during the challenge, we will ask you to raise funds through sponsorship for people battling hardship and hunger every day.

The registration fee is only £10, which will include:

  • Administration fee
  • A recipe book suited to your financial restrictions
  • The chance to participate at eye-opening, yet fun activities during the challenge

If you raise over £250, you'll receive an Appetite for Change hamper!
