Become a member of CFINE’s affordable community food pantries
Community food pantries are here to help you access affordable and healthy foods, toiletries, baby products and household items at a low cost. We established the first Scottish food pantry in 2018 and now operate a network of three pantries in Aberdeen and one in Peterhead.
About the membership
The pantries work on a membership basis, offering you a family-oriented, shop-like experience at a fixed weekly price. Pantry members pay £3 for their annual membership, which entitles you to visit us once a week. The cost of your shopping is £2.50 per week, and you can choose up to 10 items. The estimated value of the weekly items that you will pick is around £18-£23.
What can you choose from
As a member of the CFINE pantries, you will have the opportunity to choose from fish, meat, fresh fruit and vegetables, household items, pulses and other goods. The items at the shop are marked with green and orange dots. You can choose up to seven ‘green’ and three ‘orange’ items.
If you have a Best Start Card you can use it to pay the £2.50 to shop as it allows you to access fresh fruit, vegetables, milk and bread.
