All sessions will run between 1.30pm and 3.30pm What is Jenny offering? Jenny is focusing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, an approach that suggests the way that we think and interpret situations has an impact on how we feel and behave. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focuses on current difficulties with a view to changing the ‘here and now’ rather than looking to the past for causes of distress. Individual Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is usually between 6-12 sessions. You as the client are expected to take a more active role in therapy by applying the new skills and techniques you learn to help makes changes to your thoughts and behaviours. There is evidence to support the effects of CBT with a variety of problems such as depression, anxiety, phobias, stress, panic disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. However, this type of therapy may not suit everyone as there is a need for you to apply the techniques offered and undertake some work yourself. Please email Jenny at [email protected] or text on 07907 473894 for further information. If you wish to be referred, please complete the attached form which will be stored in line with Data Protection requirements.
