Across the COVID-19 pandemic, growing in the community has been beneficial to mental health, to wellbeing, and for producing tasty fruit and veg in the home!

Granite City Good Food, Aberdeen City’s Sustainable Food Places Partnership, has been supporting the Implementation Group of Granite City Growing, Aberdeen’s Food Growing Strategy, who are proud to launch the forthcoming “Community Garden Festival!”

Across the weekend of the 4th and 5th September, community groups across the City will be opening their garden-gates to welcome you, inform you of their activities and to host a wide range of events which celebrate community growing in all its forms.

Over 19 groups have signed up to host an event in this first year of the event, and events will be taking place all across the City from Tillydrone to Peterculter, from Tullos to Springhill!

To view the activities taking place across the weekend, find the brochure for the weekend here.

An online map of all participating locations can be found here
