We wanted to let you know what the Keep Growing Aberdeen team has planned for 2021. Based on feedback from last years’ participants we are aiming to distribute growing packs again this year!

We also aim to build on what was successful last year and offer 3 areas follow on support to plant their own raised beds on council green space, e.g. patches of grass outside tower blocks or back garden areas. This support will include working with the residents to build a resilient community group, providing resources such as compost and seeds, access to borrow tools and helping them build a working relationship with the Aberdeen City Council to gain their permission and support the use of the land.

Currently, we are looking for notes of interest. Whether you represent a group of neighbours, families coming together, community centre, a health centre, a community garden, or anything in between, we would like to know if you would like to help us locate 3 places within priority localities* where you think there would be residential interest in taking on this project. The closing date for applications is March 31st 2021.
