We work in partnership with Grampian Housing Association, credit unions and many others: Checking entitlement to benefits and applying for benefits Dealing with any issues around benefits such as delays/sanctions/appeals Managing money on a budget Dealing with low-scale debts Referrals for Housing(for issues around council housing, tenancy & repairs, and homelessness), employability and energy advice Employability We refer beneficiaries to Pathways, which offers one-to-one support to help people find the job they want. Their Keyworkers help people in all aspects of the job search: building confidence, develop a plan to reach their job goal, develop or update the CV, complete application forms, prepare for interviews, access funds to remove barriers to work e.g. training or equipment. Pathways run a drop-in session at our Aberdeen office every Thursday 10am - 12pm. Energy/Heating Advice We refer beneficiaries to energy/heating social enterprise Scarf (Save Cash and Reduce Fuel). Scarf aim to make a practical difference to people living in fuel poverty and that purpose remains at their core as they deliver a range of quality services focusing on: fuel poverty energy efficiency sustainable living carbon reduction How Do I Access The S.A.F.E.
