As part of the AFC Community Trust Day on Saturday the 3rd February 2023 CFINE will be partnering with AFC Community Trust once again to support food poverty in Aberdeen.
We, CFINE are a charity based in Aberdeen which aims to improve health and wellbeing and the environment through tackling food poverty and providing a range of support and services for disadvantaged people.

Following on from our success working together at the last Trust Day in 2022, where The Red Army generously collected and brought along enough food for nearly 2000 meals, that was then delivered to CFINE after the event, helping us to continue to meet the needs of our beneficiaries. CFINE and AFCCT will also be continuing their partnership from the #StillStandingFree campaign where over 15,000 people were supported with food parcels throughout the lockdown.

On the day of the match, you can donate food by dropping at our designated drop point outside the RDS. The food donated will go directly to people in immediate need within our community. Your support will help tackle food poverty and give families access to the support and resources they need.
The food items in lowest supply are:
- Tinned Meals
- Tinned Soups
- Tinned Fruit/ Tinned Desserts
- Teabags
- Rice
- Pasta
- Tinned Tuna
Aberdeen FC Community Trust chief executive Liz Bowie said:
“We are delighted to be partnering once again with our friends at CFINE at this year’s Aberdeen FC Community Trust Day at Pittodrie on 4 February 2023. With the current cost of living crisis, it has never been more important that we continue to pull together as a community to ensure that we support each other. Our fans were incredibly generous last year donating over 3/4 of a ton of food which equated to 1814 meals. I really hope that we will be able to surpass that total this year and play our part in addressing food poverty. I would encourage anyone coming to the game to bring food donations (non-perishable of course!) to the collection point which will be situated in front of the Richard Donald Stand before kick-off at 3pm.”

“CFINE is delighted to be partnering with Aberdeen FC Community Trust for another Community Trust Day at Pittodrie this Saturday 4th February. Here at CFINE we are very proud to be continuing this relationship and working with AFCCT to ensure continued awareness of the difficulties faced by so many individuals and families across our local communities.
Thank you AFCCT and to all of the Red Army– your generosity is greatly appreciated!”
