Posted 19th Feb 2024 · News

CFINE and Aberdeen Football Club Community Trust (AFCCT) held a food drive at Pittodrie in celebration of the Community Trust’s 10th anniversary. The award-winning AFFCT was established in March 2014:

“The Trust focuses on how we can inspire and empower, particularly the next generation, through education and positive destinations; football, health and wellbeing.

Our work aligns to a local, national and international frameworks aimed at reducing poverty and inequality whilst working to improve health, wellbeing and education. We believe in the power of partnership and work with other organisations and agencies to further our impact in the community”.

CFINE and AFCCT have a long-standing relationship working together to create positive change in the City.

On Saturday the 17th wonderful volunteers from CFINE and AFCCT collected almost one ton of food - that is equivalent to 2,143 meals! This food will be used to help support vulnerable individuals and families across the city.

Aberdeen Football Club kindly provided tickets and vouchers for food and drink to all the volunteers who worked so hard on the day and consistently give up their time throughout the year to support communities across Aberdeen.

Finally, a big shout-out to the Aberdeen FC supporters who showed up in numbers to help tackle food poverty.
