As part of the AFC Community Trust Day on Saturday the 19th of March CFINE will be partnering with AFC Community Trust.
We, CFINE are a charity based in Aberdeen which aims to improve health and wellbeing and the environment through tackling food poverty and providing a range of support and services for disadvantaged people.
Following on from our success working together during the #StillStandingFree campaign where over 15,000 people were supported with food parcels throughout the lockdown, we are encouraging the Red Army to show their generosity and support again by bringing food donations on Community Trust Day.
On the day of the match, you can donate food by dropping it in our designated drop points throughout the stadium. The food donated will go directly to people in immediate need within our community. Your support will help tackle food poverty and give families access to the support and resources they need!
The food items in lowest supply are:
- Tinned Meals
- Tinned Soups
- Tinned Fruit/ Tinned Desserts
- Tinned Tuna
Aberdeen FC Community Trust chief executive Liz Bowie said:
“We are delighted to once again be supporting CFINE who do invaluable work helping those who are impacted by food poverty. We look back to the start of the pandemic in 2020 where, in partnership with CFINE, the #StillStanding Free campaign, supported by the Red Army, enabled us to help thousands of families in our community. Our AFC Community Trust Day on 19 March will offer another opportunity for the fans to show how much they care about local families. I am sure they will surprise us with their generosity as ever!”
Fiona Rae, Chief Executive said, “CFINE is delighted at the on-going support received from Aberdeen FC Community Trust. Building on our established partnership, in particular at the start of the pandemic, we are proud to continue our relationship and most importantly to ensure continued awareness of the difficulties faced by so many individuals and families across the city.
Thank you AFCCT and to all of the Red Army– your generosity is hugely appreciated!”
