CFINE are taking part in the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge for a second year. Last year’s campaign was a huge success, were we smashed our campaign goal within twenty-four hours by raising a total of £2675.
This year we are aiming higher and hoping to raise £5000 through our campaign ‘Poverty isn’t just at Christmas’. The first £2500 of donations will be doubled thanks to match funding secured through the Big Give.
How can I get involved in CFINE’s Big Give Campaign?
During the campaign week from December 2nd – December 9th all donations made to CFINE through the Big Give campaign will be doubled. Until our £2,500 of secured match funding is used up. Helping your donation to go further to support those in your local community.
Donations can be made to our Big Give campaign from December 2nd at 12pm to December 9th at 12pm. Please note, for your donation to be eligible for match funding it must be made through the link below and not any other donation channel.

Following the pandemic and on-going cost-of-living crisis CFINE has seen a huge increase in demand for our support services. Our emergency food parcel distribution dramatically rose from an estimated 38,205 in 2023/24 to 45,757 in 2024/25.
CFINE’s services have been dealing with increasingly complex cases with individuals reporting increased; feelings of anxiety and stress, financial pressures, worry about paying bills, the choice between eating or heating, and social isolation.
Donations collected from our Big Give campaign will help us to maintain our current service provision and meet the rising demand for support.
Why should I get involved in CFINE’s Big Give campaign?
The Big Give campaign is a chance to make your donation go further this festive season.
Your £5 donation could support a family with emergency food and toiletries for a week. With match funding through the Big Give campaign this becomes £10, enough to support two families.
Your £20 donation could provide a person with dedicated benefits advice and support to better manage their money. With match funding through the Big Give campaign this becomes £40, enough to support two people.
Your £50 donation could pay forward 20 weekly shops from CFINE’s community pantry. With match funding through the Big Give campaign this becomes £100, enough for 40 weekly shops.
Your £250 donation could let us deliver over 2,000 meals to charities and community organisations. With match funding through the Big Give campaign this becomes £500, enough for 4,000 meals.
What is the Big Give?
The Big Give Christmas Challenge can provide match funding due to pledgers. This year CFINE are grateful to have received pledges from Tide Water, Red Wing, Atlas Professionals, Turriff’s, and one anonymous champion funder allowing us to secure a total of £2,500 in match funding.
This makes Big Give campaigns unique by allowing for public donations to be doubled thanks to the match funding from the pledgers.
