CFINE's Community Growing team have developed two free courses which link growing with confidence building, skills development and employability!
Growing for Wellbeing
This course has been created in collaboration with Mind Store - a mental and physical health charity that delivers a range of services and support including counselling and psychotherapy services; promote understanding of how food affects mood and health and promote opportunities for learning about food and healthy living.
'Growing For Wellbeing' will help you learn about gardening whilst growing your confidence and skills in a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Improve mental health through mindfulness, gardening and outdoor learning.

This free course is for those who would like to learn tools to improve their mental health and wellbeing, whilst building their gardening skills.
The course starts on Wednesday 24th April 1:30 – 3:30pm. After the first Wednesday, sessions take place on Mondays and Wednesdays for two weeks, with an additional final session taking place a little bit later. In total there will be six sessions.
Who is it for? This course is for those who would like to improve their health and wellbeing through mindfulness and outdoor activities.

Growing Employability Skills
This is a free course which aims to build basic employability skills in a gardening setting, such as learning new skills, increased self-esteem, and building a sense of routine. Those who take part in the course will learn transferable skills and gain a certificate of achievement, to help you enhance your CV and prepare for employment.
The course commitment is for 3 hours a week for 10 weeks. This round of the course starts on Thursday 25th April, and continues every Thursday for the 10 weeks, 1:30 – 4:30pm. Please check you can commit to the course dates before registering.

Who is it for? This course is for those who are facing barriers to employment, and who would like to work towards entering (or re-entering) employment.
Where? You will be based mainly at Earth and Worms Community Garden in Tillydrone, near the Tillydrone Community Campus.
